Science has been one of the best parts of my time at Ashcroft. Being a member of STEAM Club since Year 7 has given me amazing opportunities to explore new ideas beyond the classroom, from visiting the Science Museum to taking part in trips to Imperial College London and UCL. I’ve entered national competitions such as Ritangle and the Senior Maths Challenge, which have pushed me to think in new ways. I also performed a solo at the Royal Albert Hall and enjoy contributing to school life as part of the Head Student Team, especially meeting former students working in exciting fields like nuclear physics and cyber security.
