Ashcroft Technology Academy is one of the leading secondary schools in the country: graded outstanding by OfSTED in 2021, five times over-subscribed in Year 7 and over-subscribed in the Sixth Form.  Our progress 8 score places us in the top 30 schools in the country, the outcomes our Sixth Form students achieve are the best in South-West London, student attendance places us in the top 1% of schools in the country and student behaviour is excellent – with strong systems in place to support all members of staff.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding candidate to join our large, vibrant and forward-looking Science team from September 2024 as Key Stage 5 Coordinator.  The successful candidate will have the skills and the vision to support the leadership of an already very successful department.   All Sciences are offered in both the A-Level and International Baccalaureate programmes of study, which makes for a rewarding post-16 teaching experience, with a significant number of our Sixth Form students opting to study medicine at university.  An understanding of curriculum design and cognitive science, a commitment to continuing professional development and a commitment to developing the very best practice and the most effective curricula in a team of dedicated scientists are necessary for this role.  A commitment to the Academy’s extra-curricular programme is also important for this role, in particular our MEDSOC programme.

In return, we provide high-quality and well-resourced facilities, a genuine commitment to professional development, with excellent opportunities for career development and professional learning, and a very committed, visible and supportive Leadership Group and Curriculum Manager.

If you would like to be a part of this team, further details and an application form are available from our website www.ashcroftacademy.org.uk or telephone us on 020 8812 3553.
