24 October 2008 - Letter 7
This evening will take place on Thursday 6 November from 6.00-8.00pm in the Main Hall. A letter of invitation has been sent home this week to all Year 7 parents.
To celebrate National Poetry Day recently our Year 7 students were set the task to pen a poem on the national theme of ‘Work’, or in our case ‘School’.
17 October 2008 - Letter 6
The last day of term is Friday 24 October, and students will be finishing at the usual time, at 3.20pm.
We very much look forward to welcoming Year 11 students and their parents to our Post 16 Open Evening on Thursday 23 October at 6.30-8.00pm in the Main Hall.

This week Year 11 students participated in a Young Enterprise programme based on ‘Personal Economics’

3 October 2008 - Letter 4
Year 7 students enjoyed an evening of showing their parents what they have been up to since starting Ashcroft Academy. Parents were able to meet their son / daughter’s teachers in an informal setting in the hall on Wednesday, where work was displayed that Year 7 have produced this term.
This year the Academy’s Drama Production is ‘Grease’ and will be performed on the 4, 5 and 6 February.
26 September 2008 - Letter 3
All Year 7 students and their parents are invited to come along to an informal Tutor Evening on Wednesday 1 October from 6-7.30pm.
Please note in your diaries that our Post 16 Open Evening will take place on Thursday 23 October.
19 September 2008 - Letter 2
This year many teachers are holding lots of exciting clubs that everyone is welcome to join. Some clubs have already started and others will begin in the next few weeks.
We are now very busy organising for our two Open Evenings next week for Year 7 admissions in September 2009.
12 September 2008 - Letter 1
Congratulations to our former Year 11 students on their excellent GCSE results. 88% of the students achieved 5 or more A*-C grades.
Welcome back to the new academic year. Students will appreciate that a considerable amount of work has been completed during the school holidays and we are well on track towards completion of the Academy building programme.
