11 July 2008 - Letter 6
The last day of term is Wednesday 16 July. There will be normal lessons up until break and afterwards students will be spending the remaining time in their form rooms until they are dismissed at 1.00pm.
Our new Year 7 students who will be joining us in September got a good taste of Ashcroft life when they came to spend a morning with us on Wednesday.
4 July 2008 - Letter 5
Year 10 students have been on work experience for the last couple of weeks and will be returning to us on Monday.
We are all looking forward to Sports Day which will be on Wednesday 9 July, and we hope the weather will be as good as it was for our Fun Run. Sports Day will be held at Wimbledon Park Athletics Track.
27 June 2008 - Letter 4
he Uniform Shop will be open on Wednesday 2 July from 2-7pm for parents wishing to purchase new uniform items.
This Saturday, 30 students will spend the morning in Richmond Park participating in several activities, all intended to enrich the students’ lateral thinking, adaptability and creativity skills.
20 June 2008 - Letter 3
We have been successfully re-assessed for the Charter Mark Award given for excellence in public service, and passed the assessment with flying colours.
This week Year 12 students came back to start their A2 courses, and the Physics students launched right into their course by sending off rockets into space.
13 June 2008 - Letter 2
Year 9 students will be introduced to their chosen KS4 BTEC courses over two days on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 June.
The Work Experience programme will take place from 23 June - 4 July.
6 June 2008 - Letter 1
Year 10 students will be sitting their last 21st Century Science public exam for this year on the afternoon of Wednesday 11 June. The exam will finish at approximately 3pm when they will be free to go home.
So far Ashcroft Technology Academy’s Fun Run has raised £3,818 for the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability.
