Key Stage 3 (Years 7 & 8 only)
From September 2008 most students at Ashcroft Technology Academy began to follow a two-year Key Stage 3 followed by a three-year Key Stage 4
Year 7 students study all of the following subjects: Science, English, Maths, French, Design & Technology, Art, Geography, History, Information & Communication Technology, Religious Studies, Drama, PE/Games and Music.
The Year 8 programme follows a very similar pattern to Year 7. The way in which the teaching time is divided amongst the different subjects is indicated in the chart below.
All students in Years 7 and 8 follow an extension programme. This currently focuses on Enterprise and Industrial Understanding and extends the normal subjects of the National Curriculum.
