Summer Examinations 2010
GCSE/DiDA/Diploma/Functional Skills Results Day : Tuesday 24 August 2010
In a change to previous years, 2010 will see the publication of GCSE results on a Tuesday. This is because of the proximity of the results publication period to the start of the new term. Awarding Bodies wanted to ensure that throughout the UK results were received before the start of the new academic year. Results will be provided in a format printed from the schools management information system, received directly from awarding bodies. Paper copies from the awarding bodies will be received in centres later that week and distrubted soon thereafter.
Results will be available for collection from10.00 am until 11.30am.
Students wishing for a relative or friend to collect their results must send a signed letter of authorisation with the collector. Results will not be given over the telephone under any circumstances. Candidates are not to write to, or telephone the academy asking for their results.
Any uncollected results will be posted on the day to the address on the school database. Candidates not intending to collect in person but wishing their results to be posted, should leave a stamped addressed envelope (also bearing their candidate number), with the Exams Officer. Sixth form and FE colleges have be advised to accept these printed statements as proof of results. However, if there are any problems with your enrolment you should ask your new institution to contact the Exams Officer
GCSE results for Year 10 will be issued at the beginning of the academic year.
