How to apply
Parents and carers wishing to apply for a place at the Academy from 1 September 2010 for students in Year 7 to 11 must complete the application form provided by the Local Authority in whose area they live. The form must be returned to the Local Authority which will send confirmation of whether or not a place can be offered.
Residents of the borough of Wandsworth can obtain a form and details of the procedure from Pupil Services, Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, SW18 (Tel: 020 8871 7316 or Email: admissions@wandsworth.gov.uk). Copies are also available from the Academy.
Those living elsewhere must contact their own Local Authority for a form and the procedure.
Application For A Year 7 Place In September 2011
Applications for a Year 7 place in September 2011 must be received by the Local Authority by 31 October 2010. However, parents are strongly encouraged to apply by 22 October so that their application can be checked and acknowledged before the final closing date.
ALL parents or carers who require a place at the Academy must apply by this date, even if their child has an older sibling in the Academy.
Parents and carers may also apply online for a Year 7 place in September 2011 at www.wandsworth.gov.uk/admissions. However, all applicants should read the oversubscription criteria in the Academy prospectus/website and in the Wandsworth Council booklet ‘Choose a Wandsworth Secondary Academy', available from Wandsworth Primary Schools or the Council.
The Local Authority will post the outcome of the application on 1 March 2011.
