17 July 2009 - Letter 7
All students will be bringing home reports today. Students in Years 7, 8 and 10 will get a full report and Year 9 students an interim report.
The Music Department put on a brilliant performance on Wednesday evening, displaying a huge variety of musical talent that students and staff have worked hard all year to perfect.
10 July 2009 - Letter 6
The last day of term is Friday 17 July. Students in Years 7-9 will be dismissed at 1.00pm after a final assembly at 12.00pm. Year 10 will have an assembly at 11.00am and will be dismissed shortly before 12pm.
Parents are reminded again that the new Year 7 intake and the 6th Form will return on Tuesday 1 September (Year 12 at 8.30am; Year 13 at 2pm) and Years 8-11 on Wednesday 2 September 2009.
3 July 2009 - Letter 5
Now that we have our new Hall, we are able to conduct our first Academy Summer Concert. The performance will be on Wednesday 15 July at 6.30pm and will include performances from all the best of the Music Department this year.
Many students, parents and staff watched a fantastic KS3 performance of Peter Pan this week.
26 June 2009 - Letter 4
This year Sports Day will run on 4 separate days, one for each year group, and will last all morning on the day they have their PE lessons: Year 7 - Thursday 2 July Year 8 - Monday 6 July Year 9 - Wednesday 1 July Year 10 - Tuesday 14 July
Well done to Jacob Chickoree, Andy Ellis, Abishake Srithar and Alex Ruff who performed fantastically well in Monday’s UK Maths Team National Challenge Final.
19 June 2009 - Letter 3
Please note that the new Year 7 intake and the 6th Form will return on Tuesday 1 September (Year 12 at 8.30am; Year 13 at 2pm) and Years 8-11 on Wednesday 2 September 2009.
Year 10 students will start their work experience placements on Monday 22 June and will return on Monday 6 July.
12 June 2009 - Letter 2
Year 9 students participated in a two-day introductory programme to the BTEC course that they have chosen to follow at KS4 this week. Travel & Tourism, Health & Social Care and Business students enjoyed a trip to Brighton and Engineering to Thorpe Park
We have once again succeeded in maintaining our right to fly the Charter Mark flag
5 June 2009 - Letter 1
This is a special evening for Year 10 parents and their students on Tuesday 7 July from 6-7.30pm.
Our spectacular KS3 production of ‘Peter Pan’ will take place at 5pm on Tuesday 30 June and again at 7.30pm on Wednesday 1 July.
