Sex Education
The health education programme includes aspects of sex education in which we aim to develop an understanding of personal development and human relationships within the context of each student's life. Topics covered will be appropriate to the age and stage of development of the students involved and will encourage students to develop their values and their sense of moral responsibility.
The Science programme will support the PSHE programme with the teaching of human reproduction. Parents are advised of their right under the 1993 Education Act to withdraw their child from sex education lessons that are not part of the National Currriculum. If you do wish to withdraw your child you should write to the Principal stating your reasons.
Currently no child is withdrawn.
